Can anyone help me build the bitcoin qt wallet on my linux ubuntu 13.10

I cannot find any build guides that have worked for me. Thank you so much

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

why aren't you using the pre-built linux binaries?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I'm having the same issue, I am running my node on my Mac at the moment but want to move it over to a machine with Ubuntu 14.04 installed on it but I can figure out how to get Bitcoin Qt installed on to it can someone please explain thanks.

I wasn't aware of this, would you be able to provide a link?

In your terminal type in
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin
and then
Code:
sudo apt-get update
EDIT: install
Code:
sudo apt-get install bitcoin-qt

Thanks for that info, I'm new to Ubuntu, I followed those commands and Ubuntu did its thing, how do I get Bitcoin Qt to run is there a command to start it up.

Thanks will do, hopefully it will run better on my Ubuntu machine, I,m just transferring all the Bitcoin data from my Mac to the Ubuntu bitcoin directory so I don't have to re download it again, all seems to be working great. Thanks Grin

+1 also you will find it ready to download in software-packages without using command line ..just type Bitcoin in a search box then you will see it .

I read they removed it. Which ubuntu are you using?
