Little Darkcoin Info: It is the 1st truly anonyous cryptocurrency with anonymous block transactions powered by darksend. It has a fully funtional public beta for DarkSend. It has a maxiumum of 22million coins and has CPU/GPU mining, also being the first coin to use the x11 algorythm which is superior to Litecoin's scrypt and Bitcoin's sha256. It also has a superior, extremely secure hasing algorithm with 11 rounds of scientifi hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, and echo) Also, the first coin to have difficulty retargets using Dark Gravity Wave or DGW
Darkcoin Firsts: 1) First Truly Anonymous Cryptocurrency 2) First to use x11 Algo, which is Highly efficient, 30-50% cooler than scrypt and a much much better protection against ASCIS's 3) First to use DGW, Dark Gravity Well 4) First to implement Darksend, where users can send and recieve coins Anonymously because of the Ingenious minds of the developers, they implemented coin mixing technology, to scramble up all the darkcoin addresses, so no one can ever know Who sent you darkcoin and they won't know how much was sent either!

Darkcoin is one of the few coins that offers true innovation in more ways than one and is also built around a concept that is becoming scarcer by the minute, PRIVACY.

I agree it would reach 100M soon, like anything else it will take some time for it to reach 1Billion in value, it took bitcoin years to reach that, look what darkcoin has accomplished in mere months.

My favorite part is when they start to fight with each other during the downtrend (see BC).

If you look at ZeroCoin specs closely, you'd see that it's centralized similar to Ripple in a way and no one wants that.....and CryptoNote is not anonymous.. Darkcoin is the first.

If you look at ZeroCoin specs closely, you'd see that it's centralized similar to Ripple in a way and no one wants that.....and CryptoNote is not anonymous.. Darkcoin is the first. DarkCoin/DarkSend is a broken implementation of CoinJoin. It was made by gmaxwell to promote privacy. The DarkCoin implementation doesn't do exactly what you think it does, and appears to rely on points of centralization called master nodes. These are central points of failure and attack vectors. ZeroCoin/ZeroCash require trusted parameters to start the chain, yes. This has been a source of controversy mostly because when the parameters have been generated, even if it's in a decentralized fashion (as proposed), it's impossible for you to tell what's going on in the chain because all you see are ZKPs that indicate whether a block/tx is correct or not any nothing else. CryptoNote relies on stealth addressing, ring signatures, and denominations to maintain privacy, all of which are features that required the use of people like actual cryptographers to develop. CryptoNote already has more privacy features than DarkCoin has been been able to implement in the past three months. It is the 1st truly anonyous cryptocurrency with anonymous block transactions powered by darksend.
Did you check the code to verify this? or you just repeat what you read? Can you post here the code used for darksend? You can't because there is absolutely nothing! This is just marketing for ignorant people.

Don't think so, read this:
"Looking at this data, we see that Darkcoin was mined with 500 DRK generated per block from the get go. From block 1 to at least block 3250, according to their blockchain, they were still producing 500 coins each block. The transition from 500 to 277 coins per block occurs between 3250 and 3500 but this author did not see the necessity of getting the exact moment of halving. Simple math shows that 3250 blocks multiplied by 500 coins a block is 1,625,000 Darkcoins created between the times of 3:54 and 11:22 on January 19th, 2014. As of today there are around 4,300,000 DRK in existence, making this a pretty hefty instamine. The Darkcoin website expects around 22,000,000 DRK to be created. That means in less than 8 hours, almost 5% of the Darkcoins that ever will be created spawned in that 1/3 of a day. It's safe to say Darkcoin has left it's investors in the dark on this one."

This is just marketing. http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/DarkcoinWhitepaper.pdfPlease look through that before making baseless assumptions...Darksend is the solution for Bitcoin's blockchain. You cannot see a sender's address nor will you be able to identify the amount of coins held by someone using Darkcoin. Did you look at Bitcoin or Litecoin's "insta mine", the early adopters will always get the most because of low difficulty, Satoshi's 1million Bitcoin..anyone? Luckily enough, most of those early adopters Sell off their coins prematurely, and there are hardly any of them left with a substantial amount of coins. So reRaise, your point is invalid.
