1. Is there a truly anonymous coin right now? If so, what is it and can it be cracked?

2. Can a coin be innovative if it is a clone? How?

3. Will a coin unseat Bitcoins market cap? How long till this happens?

4. How much time do we have until wall street shows up here in a big way?

5. When is it ok to have a premine? Or a detailed reason why it's impossible. Explain.

6. Is it possible to make a coin botnet proof? How could this be accomplished?

7. What must be done to make a coin ASIC proof?

These are BIG questions. This I would hope will create an in-depth discussion. I created this new account to prevent my identity from causing a distraction from the discussion.

Guess if you want

I'll have a shot at few of the q's.

2. Can a coin be innovative if it is a clone? How?

- It can be socially innovative in the way Dogecoin is. Its distribution method can be innovative too.

...

4. How much time do we have until wall street shows up here in a big way?

- Here in Bitcointalk? Who knows  Roll Eyes. I'm positive that there are many bright minds working with
blockchain technology at Wall Street.

...

6. Is it possible to make a coin botnet proof? How could this be accomplished?

PoW coins that require more than CPU are pretty much botnet proof. CPU/"human mineable" coins need
to somehow incorporate bots into the equation right from the start.

7. What must be done to make a coin ASIC proof?

if that is really necessary, dispense with PoW.

Much as I hate all the spam coins, you don't have to reinvent the wheel every time you make a new car. So that cant be the only check.

1. Is there a truly anonymous coin right now? If so, what is it and can it be cracked?
No
2. Can a coin be innovative if it is a clone? How?
Yes, experiment ground for the main system see sidechain
3. Will a coin unseat Bitcoins market cap? How long till this happens?
Yes, innovative adoption could make bitcoin a napster of the internet, it may take years or it could be part of a larger shared system.
4. How much time do we have until wall street shows up here in a big way?
1-4 years with small retail investors first before Wall Street due to regulations needing to be changed.
5. When is it ok to have a premine? Or a detailed reason why it's impossible. Explain.
Never, developers should develop usage and then the rewards earned from their mining will reward them.
Unless it is a developed built in system in rare cases.
6. Is it possible to make a coin botnet proof? How could this be accomplished?
Define Botnet, ASIC makes it very unprofitable to use CPU or GPU
7. What must be done to make a coin ASIC proof?
Not needed Re 6: Alternative scripts need to be secure crytographically before anything else

1) anon is upto the user more then the coin, btc hell fiat is anon if you do it right.

2) yes by improving on btc's may flaws

3) does the price in USD mean anything thats just price the secret is to make a crypto of value, ie useful as a currency.

4) well over a year before btc etf gets up and gets wall street interested.

5) premines not the problem its how the premine is used, if its just to make the dev make fiat then its an issue.

6) yes 100% premines, pos Wink

Bytecoin? How would you go about "beating" its attempt at anonymity?

Yes, I disagree with freedomno1 about bitcoin being "the main system" and altcoins as subordinate.

Bitcoin is the granddaddy of all coins, but cryptocurrencies are independent things.

1. Is there a truly anonymous coin right now? If so, what is it and can it be cracked?

Who cares.. Fiat is not anon and no one cares either.

2. Can a coin be innovative if it is a clone? How?

A true clone can have no innovation .. that is what clone means.

3. Will a coin unseat Bitcoins market cap? How long till this happens?

YUP and it will be one of those shitty scammy clone coins that have ultra huge premine's probably
all the sites that calculate premine's seem to think doing that is comparable to Bitcoin's market cap.
go figure we got some real winner logic on that one.. coinmarketcap.com etc should be banned.. scam sites.
tricking retards is not cool lol

4. How much time do we have until wall street shows up here in a big way?

forever.. they are not coming.. they came, they saw and got the t-shirt and left - last OCT/NOV 2013
would you stay in this scammy scene if you were a real professional ?

5. When is it ok to have a premine? Or a detailed reason why it's impossible. Explain.

Never. shithead cloners can't be trusted.. this scene is too corrupt to afford people that level of trust .

6. Is it possible to make a coin botnet proof? How could this be accomplished?

No.

7. What must be done to make a coin ASIC proof?

Sell your soul to Satan for magical wizard powers.

Well, I agree your definition of clone. Perhaps though if the original did something not quite right (in their eyes), the cloner might think then can clone then fix it by changing the fault altering the approach or whatever.

Its only a clone at the moment you copy it after all the original could also be changed, is it still a clone then? its a clone of a moment.

I agree that a clone can be innovative. Innovation is not confined to the technological aspect of a coin.
