Even with a large water cooler 5 GHz would cause the water to reach near boiling temperatures. What motherboard are you using? What cooling did you buy?

I have a very old HP laptop. Only use it for office work, I do most internet stuff on an iPad.

This is a bit off topic here but okay. Windows being the most adopted OS, Linux is much better but a bit harder to use. People can use Ubuntu or any other OS based off of Linux (they are easier).

seems like computer technology has slowed down significantly. if you bought a mid level computer 2 years ago, it's still very much serviceable today.
