yes I've also got 25 active connections just the red message next to the amount that says out of sync

12 connections. synchronized

How did you sync it? Many people including me are out of sync.

I checked my log... it is getting alot of connection timeouts. Seems like alot of nodes I used to connect to are down. It looks like it is trying to sync:

trying connection 46.98.5.34:22701 lastseen=6.1hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 2.231.179.170:22701 lastseen=26.1hrs

trying connection 90.213.157.255:22701 lastseen=4.2hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 86.126.110.156:22701 lastseen=1.9hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 176.37.66.33:22701 lastseen=170.1hrs
Flushed 1546 addresses to peers.dat  13ms
connection timeout
trying connection 73.190.100.188:22701 lastseen=1.7hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 118.120.192.44:22701 lastseen=39.8hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 178.234.73.1:22701 lastseen=17.1hrs
connection timeout
trying connection 183.95.132.239:22701 lastseen=16.3hrs

analysed my log, I have many nodes with connection timeout also.
The following nodes are currently connected (for example), please try to add these nodes to the config file:

connected 108.11.208.20:22701
connected 73.190.100.188:22701
connected 166.62.191.47:22701
connected 176.195.42.92:22701
connected 31.54.181.178:22701

I've tried those nodes still not syncing unfortunately....

Same here Sad

Mine too!
It says it's in sync, but the block count hasn't moved from 4999

Dev, is this ok? Is the current block being mined a death block that has taken already 10 hours Huh

or are things "stuck" because of the distribution process?

Just for giggles, I deleted my Sharecoin folder (have a wallet backup of course) and re-ran the wallet. It happily downloaded and processed 4999 blocks, but still shows Out Of Sync. Guess we'll just have to wait for the dev to work it out. I'm not worried since it's not only me.

Wallet showed as un-synced because there is no new block generated. Just ignore it, it will show as synced when the network start generating blocks

Wait until you see the exchange Wink

Can't wait. So, does the "Free and Share" distribution start when the count down hits 0?

Is it automated? I'm excited to get into the ground floor of a great looking new POS coin.

It starts within 24 hours after we carefully analyzed the accounts.

And isn't this bad Huh

If the blockchain is stopped, how can you make the coin distribution ?
Who is crushing blocks? No one?

If the wallets are not staking, that means no PoS blocks
If nobody is mining PoW blocks (no even you Huh) then no blocks at all !

This is still a cryptocurrency based in the blockchain tecnology, right? No blockchain = disaster !

Would you mind  easing us a little bit further and enlighten us on how is the blockchain for this coin being nurtured and taken care off? Please Grin ?

Your wallet will remain unsync'd until a transaction happens, if the last transaction happened days ago, you wallet displays unsync'd, because the latest transaction happened a long time ago and your wallet thinks your are not sync'ed while you are...
The blockchain is formed by all the transactions which happened on the coin... there is nothing to nurture...

This is a PoS coin, blocks are generated without miners. Don't worry, blocks will be generated as soon as coin distribution starts

Thank you for trying to help, but you didn't Sad

The entire coin waiting to be distributed was mined in block 1 - so, for that matter, even giving it a few hundred blocks for securing that 1 transaction - the remaining 4500+ blocks of only 1 transaction with zero payout were utterly useless, right? Tongue
I guess somebody just decided they wanted to really waste energy and time, so they kept on going, LOL

Again, this coin has a blockchain, that is effectively stopped since block 4999, a few hours back (you can check the entire chain in http://www.coinexplorers.com/chain/ShareCoin?count=20)
It would be more comfortable if the responsible team cared to enlighten everyone why this isn't a problem Wink

Nothing accounts for more failures in cryptocoins than FUD - and that is what the current state of affairs might unnecessarily create. I just want everybody to feel relaxed and clarified about it, that's all.

Sometimes, the obvious things have to be explained too, even if you fell that nobody has a doubt Wink
