I just came across this thread, I guess webmasters and websites are censoring for the software that you use.

http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?p=25296#p25296

I don't know what list of sites.

Webmasters have been attempting this for a long while now, It's also known that Theymos has been picking coding fights with adblocker because they kept on blocking the ad banners he was putting up, there are webmasters who absolutely hate ad blocking software and things like Mozilla Firefox for that reason, it could also have something to do with the recent anti-gay bullshit going on with the CEO but meh.

I have Waterfox, TorBrowser and Chromium so personally don't care much.

However, I tend to stay away from sites that try to tell me how I should think, in the first place.

I was the one that started the adblock fight. I just don't agree on seeing something I don't want to see, whether he has the right to send what ever he wants, but I also have the right to block what ever I want. I respect theymos very much for his hard work, though, he implemented an option to not see ads. Chrome has ABP too. The blockading of websites for the software you use is either like you stated the gay thing, or the new way mozilla is going "The Australis". Not sure either. But censoring the net is wrong. We all know this.

I have Waterfox, TorBrowser and Chromium so personally don't care much.

Wipeout, you are in the book too, you use waterfox which is mozilla based, websites blocking firefox, you will be blocked too. You should care very much. Just think if the govt kicked in and censored all net, only things u can goto are .gov, and bank sites. That would suck right? It's wrong to censor the net.

What's Waterfox all about?

Waterfox is a high performance browser based on the Mozilla platform.

Says it right on their site lol, I didn't have to look this up either, I am just showing you.

It's pretty funny when you see torrent websites (esp indexers) that force you to shut down ad-block in order to trigger 20 banners and 3 pop-ups.
What the hell happened to "sharing is caring" ?

I actually don't mind ads that are static and just images, the problem is marketers don't seem to recognise this and insist on annoying the fuck out of you no matter what with the pop up banners and banners you mentioned before, I think the worst I've seen is when they disguise their ads as download buttons in order to get you to click them which is a classic problem with the pay per click systems and you have people infesting these boards with spam because they only get paid per post.

OT..
I ran into this at stationdrivers.com I had just reinstalled my OS, went to get intel IRST driver, oboy that link is hidden, I didn't have my browser & profile installed yet nor mvps hosts file. Clicked some stuff that redirected me to some ad sites. I said never again. Now the first thing I do is install my palemoon, my custom profile and mvps hosts.

Thanks for these ad blocking developers.

I am working on a list of site that are censoring, I contacted the OP of the link in the OP.
