What can be sold short efficiently in the alt-coin space?!?

Of course we can short BTC and LTC through Bitfinex, BTC-e, and few other alternatives.

How about other alt coins? Equities? Mining shares?

Is there a public market for shares that can be borrowed/sold short? Aside from setting up a fake website and selling mining capacity, is there a means of short-selling some of these mining contracts?

Thanks in advance.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Predictious offers binary options that you can use to short sell different things:

- Price of Bitcoin
- Price of Litecoin (end of the year)
- Price of Dogecoin (end of the year)
- Gold
- Mining difficulty
