It is horrendous and happens over here in the U.K. too.

I agree that there should be more education to walk away if it is getting to you or you are becoming frustrated. Kids can be trying and tiring but that is no excuse for murder. Even if they educated people to say I have had enough I need a break and then the kid/s can be given to a family to help people have a break and possibly earlier spotting of true depression in mothers or fathers.

In the U.K. the Courts might agree it was depression but they don't get away free, but still no excuse for murder.

completely right, mate...............there is no 'getting away with it' for the mother - she's living in her own prison already and probably has done for many years. I'm not saying we should all now sympathise, but this idea of getting away with anything is ridiculous
