Hello all! My name is Marty Lee, and me and my church have been working tirelessly to help those in need in haiti. Haiti needs our help. We need to get fresh water to Haiti now. We need to get wells build in haiti. Our church aims to raise $5000 for 5 new wells in haiti. We have a good portion of that, and I was hoping the bitcoin community had a open heart to give to haiti. Please donate to

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think someone soliciting donations should be so... anonymous.

Maybe a few pieces of information would help you obtain more donations.

What is the name of your church?

Where is it located?

What is the phone number?

Can I call the church and ask if they've ever heard of Marty Lee?

Can I call the church and ask them if they are building wells in Haiti?
+1.

Show some proof that you are who you say you are, and I'll donate some coins 4 Hati.

A picture that has a title written in Comic Sans and has been modified with a filter that looks awful doesn't sound pretty official or trustworthy for me.

I'm surprised to not see the Bitcoin address on his website, a place for his whole flock to see.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I don't think so unless the OP is not Marty. Both sites have been up for awhile. Everything checks out with the exception of the OP being related to the sites. The only way to make sure is if the Bitcoin donation address is embedded on one of the sites.

We could call Marty tomorrow to see if this is him: http://www.mp-bc.org/about.html    (847) 439-3337

I say we call her. I love the idea of donating BTC to Hati, that's just the kind of press we need.

I just want to make sure that the money is going to help people, and not some greedy organization.
