Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

How do you personally make bit coins and increase profit?

If you have a PC with a powerful video card (Radeon 58xx, 68xx, or 69xx) you can download one of the free mining software packages (a popular one for Windows is GUIMiner), set up a free account at one of the mining pools, and start 'mining'.

How much bitcoins can you make?

Not much, unfortunately, but that depends on your video card. Keep in mind that your electricity costs can eat up a lot of your mining profits. See here for an idea of what the various video cards can generate for you: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison

Besides mining though because I'm on a mac, is there like investing besides just investing on price increases/decreases on actual bitcoins.

You want to "make" bitcoins???

Go to a bit smith! Give him a kilowatt, maybe he will forge you a bitcoin!

But Note (German):

"Wer Bitcoin nachmacht oder verfälscht, oder nachgemachte oder verfälschte sich verschafft und in Verkehr bringt, wird mit Zuchthaus nicht unter zwei Jahren bestraft"

If you do something well, see if people will give you bitcoins to do it.
