I'm not a huge Verotel fan since they went with that stupid "ticket" system back in like 2005 or so. When CCBill adopts Bitcoin, that might be newsworthy.

I see more and more merchants accepting Bitcoin payments, but if sales end up being lackluster and/or non-existent, our movement won't be going very far. They need to see some benefit to accepting payments, and many of them are complaining about lack of results. People need to spend their Bitcoins, not just hodl them.

This is right. For merchants to keep accepting them long-term, people will need to start spending Bitcoins. You can think of it as an investment

Currently, all Bitcoin sales are only charged at 1% rate instead of you normal rate.

Glad to hear that another site started accepting bitcoins as a payment money for their service. Every new site that accepts bitcoins makes bitcoin stronger and stronger in the market, so good news.

Verotel is not another site. It's a payment service provider - this means many merchants will have access to Bitcoins

At the Bitcoin wiki you can find lots of them. Here is the link: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/TradeIt lists many of the businesses which accept Bitcoin. Of course, there are some which are not listed - but it's still a great list

This is really a great news! The fact that Verotel has started accepting Bitcoins, I think other payment gateways like CCBill, Segpay, Epoch, Inet-Cash and so on might consider it as well. There are several sites which allow membership through multiple payment gateways like CCBill and epoch. So, I think it is time for CCBill to consider Bitcoin as well. From the blog post linked above, it appears that the online merchants need to enable the option for Payment through Bitcoin manually from the Control Panel. So, the online merchants need to be aware of this new option added as well
