Nice. Thanks for sharing. very nicely done well video It is really great! The Guardian have done it very pro - and way how they explain what is BTC is really good and would be easy to understand by people who use on-line payments other than cryptocurrencies and for others too! Great job! I love the way they show "problems" of Bitcoin with mt.gox on the front hehe Damn!! It is really great video! I must watch it one more time! EDITED: this is best video about BTC I have ever seen!

People really think this is a good video?
To me it kind of undermines Bitcoin at the same time as looking like it is just educating. The conclusion for one is basically Bitcoin wont work but maybe something like it will. They didn't mention anything about why Bitcoin is needed in a manipulated fiat work dominated by central banks and fractional reserve banking. In fact it saw the limited supply as a negative.
I personally wouldn't show this as a way to promote it. Yeah it can make it seem more palatable and mainstream but misses the point..... I would argue on purpose.

Nextgen That is your opinion but I think it does more for the community than hurt it. We all have to appreciate that bitcoin still has some growing up to do and frankly we can't even decide if it is a currency or a security or both (if that can happen).
I think the video strongly promoted the underlying theme that a new way to move money is on its way. Will it be the bitcoin we know today? That is anybody's guess.

I can see why someone might think of this as a slightly negative stance however, The Guardian is part of the old media paradigm so for them to have produced something even remotely positive is a crazy accomplishment. I thought it was pretty well done.

Propaganda at its finest.
If you run a simple calculation the Bitcoin black market is currently worth 2% of its economy (and all of it is drugs, we have no proof to believe otherwise) versus the nearly 30% black market of USD which includes organ sale, children, pedophilia, human trafficking, weapons of mass destruction etc etc.
So why is it then that when I watch a video about USD it isn't being mentioned as the "drug money"?

Well you must say that people who aren't inside of Bitcoin world - like for example my parents - they hear only about Bitcoin from news ... and they heard about Silk Road, Mt.Gox etc... so for those kind of people this video is showing a different side of it too. I do not think they did it wrong.
