Hi guys,

I tried to transfer bitcoins from my btce account to my newly downloaded multibit wallet and cant find them.

All i did was copy the address from my wallet and send them. Now they aren't to be found and that was weeks ago.

Is it because i didnt request the transfer or something like that? I have no idea.

Apologies for the noob qs, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

Michael

You dont have to request them. Was the address correct? Can you check in the withdrawal history from btc-e and in your multibit wallet and post both here?

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

check if the transaction is in blockchain might be a good idea too if you kept a record, if it's there it might be a multi-bit issue. not sure how you can get them back if you messed up the address tought

Well if OP is lucky the address belongs to someone else that person might be nice enough to refund the coins. But usually you cant just copy past an address and get it wrong. Even if you try to enter random chars the address will probably be invalid. There is a checksum at the end of it, that prevents these mistakes.

Could also be a problem with btc-e. Ive seen a strange post with a link to a youtube video in the newbies sections lately. The video was basically "get millions with this simple trick" and had a link to btc-e. I wonder if there might be something wrong with btc-e, but OP here is the first I read about who is not getting coins.

Might as well be a problem with multi-bit though. Thats why I asked for the address, so we can check on blockchain.info.

Did you check your email? BTC-e needs confirmation mail in order to send the Bitcoins.

In Multibit, try the option Tools -> Reset Blockchain and Transactions.

Multibit sometimes "forgets" a transaction which can cause it not to show up.

wait does that happen often? (honestly that s the first post of this kind i ve seen and even if it is a multi-bit "error" it is kind of disturbing ) espescially if it has been weeks since the transaction too.

Goto btce, copy the long chain of text called "txid", post it here and then we can help you. Without anything to work on, it is just a waste of time

Thanks for all the help guys!

I have reset the block chain many times and theres still nothing.

Its only $600 or so, not too much.

My address in multibit is:

1FkdXoY1yoDxqwHQvL4MnMEp4ft5yn8uHx

I just copied it and entered in the address then withdrew it.

It left straight away and never showed up in my wallet.

I did confirm the email.

Is there somewhere on BTC-e that can give me confirmation of this?

Thanks for the help!

You should contact BTC-e support, because there is no transaction (not even a unconfirmed one) on the network.

It looks like the coins where never send.
