He means 32-bit architecture vs 64-bit architecture.   

Armory communicates with Bitcoin-Qt with network messages that are independent of your architecture (the same way you can access the same websites on the internet with 32- and 64-bit machines).

Similarly, if you setup an offline wallet with Armory, the online and offline machines don't have to have the same architecture, OS or even same version of Armory!  As long as they can read text files!

 i just updatet the new Armory online Version and works fin. Have a nice weekend
I have of couse also paperwallet,which i didnt`n update.Since you said it is not necvessary. .The,offline PVF runs with an older version.
