Too early to say that. They are definitely one of the strongest European sides playing in this edition of the world cup. The final will be either Brazil vs Argentina or Brazil vs Spain.

Bloody hell, Spain have an ageing squad don't they? This will likely be the last World Cup appearance for many of the players.  Mind, they're not short of young talent either.

If ageing players giving results then its ok no problem because young talent have too much time to show their abilities in future and ageing are good then why you have problem with them  Wink

I think that it's good to have a nice mix between the two, but like you say if it gets results then that's what counts. Looking forward though I can see some of them being phased out in favour of new, younger talent. Spain don't have a shortage of that.

Do Spain have enough quality in their squad to win the World Cup this year? Possibly. Realistically though I can see them being edged out in the Quarter or Semi-Finals.

But that also means that the Spanish side is one of the most experienced ones. And experience really counts when you play at tough venues away from home, especially in South America.

That, plus look at the squad its still a squad full of quality, as long as they can play 90 mins none of the players in the team look out of place to me due to age.

Were you guys surprised that Brad Evans didn't make team USA?  I wish we had some newer, younger talent for USA.  Maybe we could make it to round of 16 again...

How does this one differ to the one you posted the first time around?

The one which I posted earlier was not clear. The image quality was bad. That is all the difference. There is no difference in the squads. Once the 23-member squad is announced, then I'll post that also.
