Watched the England Peru game last night. Although not a massive test I thought England looked good but they do need to tighten up defensively when they have some of the bestin the world trying to get past them.
Anybody else watch any friendlies?

I watched the England game last night too. I thought that going forward we were alright. We are going to need some bright ideas in the World Cup Finals if we are to beat the best. Hopefully we don't get any injuries in the next two friendlies.

He's clearly one of our best strikers but watching him recently he just hasn't seemed sharp or up for it. In contrast theres people like Sterling chomping at the bit to work their asses off for the team. All in all my projections still the same, I think we'll crawl out the group stages and lose in the next round.

Yeah Rooney isn't sharp at the minute, maybe some more time on the pitch and training will address that. Sterling was great when he came on, and Sturridge's goal was a peach!

^^^ lol... Germany at 5.03 and Spain at 5.29? I believe that Spain right now is a hundred times better than Germany. But doesn't matter much. Either Brazil or Argentina is going to win this world cup.

I must say, those are some pretty good odds on Brazil. Home advantage always seems to count for something, but I'm cautious about Argentina.

Brazil has the home advantage -though they don't seem too happy about the competition as a whole, so maybe they won't get allot of public support- Interesting to watch anyway.

Yeah from what I hear the Brazilians are mostly upset about both the Cup and the Olympics, because of corrupt politicians. Having said that, players tend to not care about politics or anything else as long as they are given an environment where they can play the game at the highest level with the best players in the world. So I don't think it will affect them.
