Im new to alt coin mining, purchased a few gridseeds.  Is this normal?  Rarely get any accepted, have many rejected and it just detecting new blocks.

These are my settings:

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333 -u btcaddress -p xx --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850,chips=5 --hotplug 30

Basically default.  I installed the drivers with Zadig.  Cgminer detects the gridseed, device manager shows it as a Universal Serial Bus Device STM32 Virtual COM Port

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I guess the 512 difficulty is too much for this rig.
Try to decrease it down to 64 on your pool's site.

I think you are right.  I switched to wemineltc real quick and shares are accepted.

Been at this all weekend and I still cannot seem to get the Gridseed dual miners to work on any multipool with a static diff of 512.  Does anyone out there have any success with these gridseed dual miners on multipools with this diff?

Things to note: I am using the cgminer version supplied by GAWMiners on a laptop and used Zadig to install the USB drivers so the miners could be recognized.  If I close cgminer and reopen, every time the dual miners are not recognized.  If I have to or need to restart cgminer, I have to close it, unplug the miners, wait 15 seconds and plug back in then launch cgminer to detect.  I am not using a USB hub.  If I run the miners with WeMineLTC.com, I get all Accepted shares with their var diff, so I am assuming the diff with the multi pools is the problem.  Are we just SOL when it comes to multi pool mining with these?

multipool.us and ipominer.com both allow you to set your worker difficulty, I've run my Gridseed dual miner on both of them at diff=32 without any problems.

I did have trouble with CGminer and my USB bus seeming to lock up, switched to Sandor's cpuminer (which uses COM port rather than USB) fork with frequency autotune and its been fine. CPUminer isnt as user friendly as cgminer though Sad
