Why are you focussing on the girl involved? I'm sure she cares just as much about civil rights as she does about publicising herself, but the main issue here is the abhorrent and moronic shit Sterling was spouting off.

i find the politics behind it more interesting. it's already a bygone conclusion that sterling is a racist asshole.

I'd never heard of the guy until all this racism controversy. I don't understand how he can hold such opinions. Isn't 99% of his team black or something? Glad he got the bans though.

he's 80. people that old were probably raised with racism everywhere. it's been ingrained in him; that part isn't interesting to me though. as i said, the skank who banked on exposing him had planned this, and then she went on public TV to whore herself out some more.. all while lying. it's cray. it kinda sucks that people who whore themselves out get rewarded for it, but whatever. i guess she's just a playa.

Funny thing with racists, it doesn't seem to bother them when a young attractive female takes an interest in them. If she is a player, then well done to her, she played him good and proper and exposed him for what he really is. And maybe he was raised in a time where racism was more prevalent, but you'd think he would've got over that over the years being in a business where the majority of athletes are black.

I still believe that the NBA response was out of proportion. Donald Sterling is forced to sell his NBA team, which will cause hundreds of millions of USD in loses to him. A lot of bad blood will prevail.

yeah, it was a bit harsh in my opinion. if he does sell, he will probably get lowballed.. not to mention capital gains taxes. he bought the clippers for 11.5 million and now it's worth at least 600 million.

Since it is a forced sale (auction-type), I don't think that he will get more than $300-400 million for it. So a net loss of $200-300 million. No one will be happy with that sort of loss.

I have some doubts about this? Does Donald Sterling own 100% of the Clippers? Also, how much (percentage) of Capital gains tax he will have to pay, to the American tax authorities?

The price could go close to a Billion USD, since the team is in LA and winning now. Even the crappy Mil Bucks sold for over $500 Million.

The recording of prvt conversations is highly questionable Having said that, if the NBA statutes allow them to force Sterling to sell out, that's worth doing Sterling's an embarrassment

Litigation will be of no use to Donald Sterling. NBA acted according to their rules and Sterling has no argument here. Too bad.... he may get some $400-500 million after the taxes, which is not too bad IMO. lol... one leaked phone call and a loss of $233 million. Be careful billionaires.

I still think he cant get out of this saga. This taped conversation can be interpreted in a multiple ways and his mistress motives behind it can potentially be their undoing in my view.
