Andreas: “I think what we are going to find over time is the emergence of systems where you can do mining with multiple different modes. We’re already seeing, for example, there’s a coin out there—I believe it’s called Myriad—and it has 5 different mining algorithms.

Host: “Just randomly changes?”

Andreas: “No, all of them simultaneously. So if you compromise an entire mining algorithm you get 20% of the mining power. You’d have to compromise 3 different algorithms in order to get to 60%. You’d have to take over the hashing power of the entire algorithm on 3 different algorithms—some are CPU-[friendly], some are GPU [friendly], some are ASIC-friendly. And, well that creates a very interesting scenario.

Myriadcoin - the first multi-PoW blockchain! (Mine with SHA256 [ASICs], Scrypt [GPU/ASICs], Skein [GPUs], Groestl [GPUs], OR Qubit [CPUs/GPUs]).
