Greetings,

I have some GPUs sitting around unused, specifically, some 5830s.  I don't have the hardware to run them on.  I would like to request an investment of 90btc which will buy the psus and other associated hardware.  I'll build a miner with 5 5830s and then direct payments to you as dividends.  Generally, a person can expect 300 MHash per 5830 but I used 1.4GHash for the 5 cards to estimate generation amounts.

According to nanotube's gribble:
Quote
The expected generation output, at 1400000 Khps, given current difficulty of 1250757.7392747 , is 1.12584530849 BTC per day and 0.046910221187 BTC per hour.

I will direct 4 months (120 days) of mining with the rig to a pool of mutual agreement to an address you specify.  So if we use ozco.in or btcguild, you could have regular payouts ever day or every other day.  I will make my best effort to honor all of this but I won't be responsible for pool outages. (We'll work something out)  This should work out to be about 120BTC over the course of 120 days for your original investment of 90btc.  There will be a lag time between when you send the initial btc, because I'll have to wait for the hardware to show up.  Once its here, I will build it that day, run it for a day to make sure everything is stable, and then begin your 120 days of mining.

I'm open to questions/suggestions, but I kindly request you hold back on the trolling.  I'm more than willing to sign a gpg agreement but would expect you to countersign.

If you wish to be the investor, please reply here and I will pm you an address to deposit your btc.  Once received, I'll post it publicly (as well as your payback address) for transparency's sake.  If you wish to remain anonymous, then pm me, but the addresses will still be published so I can prove I kept up my end of the transaction.

EDIT:  Yes, I know difficulty can change, so if you'd rather lock in a straight 120btc mining contract that finishes in 120 days or less, that'd be fine too.

EDIT2:  I don't mind directing it straight at your pool account, but I will use gpumax as a proxy to your account because it has awesome stats tracking and helps with the stales.

EDIT3: I've been directing 6+Gh/s  in an effort to pay this off sooner.  New ETA is March 7.

People keep pm'ing to ask if its still open.  This is available until I post the addresses and say it has been filled. Smiley

Ok, maybe not the best paying contract, but it looks interesting.  I'll take the 120 day, 90 BTC challenge.

Thanks Patrick.  My receiving address will be 19rwgTjP1nEv3NmxKEjYFETsXnG4wGnvye.  PM me some pool credentials of the pool you want me to use.  I will get this stuff ordered as soon as I get a confirmation. The hardware should be here in 2 business days.

BTW, the hardware has been ordered and I've received shipping confirmations from both retailers.  It was all sent USPS First Class, so I imagine by Wednesday or so. I will update when I have more info.

The witnessed/seconded thing was to initially counter people going back and editing their posts to try to change the story.

Now it serves two purposes:
1: record that other members of the forum have seen a deal take place - helps with building reputation, and,
2: for fun

Yes.  Several of us started doing it to the trolls and they seemed to have settled down a little.

Yes, the 120 mining contract has started.  120 days from now is around 20 May (depending on timezone).

You're right.  I counted 12 weeks, not 120 days.
