Hi all.
I want to inform that Soundcoin is coming: genesis block has May 10 2014, 15:00 timestamp.
https://www.altcoincalendar.info/coins/440-SND

Why another coin?
We want to create a crypto-currency for the world of music, with a particular focus to
indipendent artists and crowd-funding.
We're not just creating a coin, in our developing walk there're:
- a music store with crowd-funding platform for music bands
- a public API that allow other services to integrate soundcoin
- mobile wallet with music store integrated
and many more.

Saturday we'll just launch the coin network with website and block explorer, other features are still WIP.

Tech coin info:
Soundcoin is a fork of Litecoin with some different parameters (scrypt algorithm).
 - 3 minute block targets
 - subsidy halves in 840k blocks (~4 years)
 - ~5 billion total coins
 - 1000 coins per block
 - 1440 blocks to retarget difficulty

Pools:

That's all.
For clarity, we'll mine with other users (slow kH), but it's just to put coin inside our services, for our platform awards service, to give some reward to devs and to pay our servers.

Hope you'll apreciate this initiative.

Why did you make a new account for this coin, do you have any failed coins under your previous account?

Oke, you talked about "we" on the OP and now it's only  "I"?

Oke, I've see a few failed coins (STP, OMC) that I mined. Both didn't have a lot of info on the main page like your coin and they failed because of it.
Look at Yellowcoin for example( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578727.0)
See the difference?
3 days before launch, maybe postpone to add more info(don't ask me what, I don't know) and get more people involved to mine or develop?

"We" because we're two devs working on this project at the moment.
"I" beacuse this account (dakk) is connected to a single person and not with the team. The person is dakk on github.

dont make this scrypt....

Scrypt is dead.. only asic scrypt mine them its a was of speed on mine and dump, if you want this coin to survive it needs anything but scrypt.

Scrypt coins  are made BY devs who own ASIC Scrypts , they mine at 200 meg to 1.2GIG hash scrypt and auto dump as soon as it confirms.
your coin will last 72 hours like orange/yello/white/and all the other shit that came out.

X11/Nscrypt or dont even bother / if you launch with scrypt then we all definately know there is no long term here only short dump and move to the next one.

I'll setup a pool.  What's the coin's symbol?  SND or did coincalendar just assume?  How many confirmations required for mined blocks?  And when is launch?  5-10-14 at 15 GMT?
