I think i am getting a pretty good deal, but i need some advise from you fine people. getting 4 of the cointerra teraminers. the 1.6 T/H each.
$7500 and i have seen them hashing in person. Now my question if i can start mining tomorrow, is this a good investment?
How much profit can i make assuming free electric and a 1% pool?
I will tip some of you guys for helping me.

6.4 TH will give you between 25 - 37 BTC depending on difficulty.  (25 BTC for 20% jumps, 37 BTC for 12% jumps)

You are buying 6.4 TH/s for $7500 or $1.17/GH.  This is a very good deal!

I'm guessing your other deal for 4 TH/s at $9500 fell through.

How much do you pay for electricity? (remember to include taxes!)
Where are you going to keep them?  Do you have 10 KW of plugs available or will you need to pay an electrician? How is the noise going to affect you?
How will you cool them?  8kW will overload the A/C system of a normal house.

If you can answer all those questions and you want to invest the total amount needed (including electrician and new A/C) in Bitcoin, then go ahead.

$7500 for 4 * 1.6TH/s TerraMiner? That would be a pretty great deal.
Where did you find the cheap miners?  Huh

Yeah, it is not really free electricity.  It is more like stealing.

I think Cointerra's position is that warranties are not transferable.  So you either need a warranty from the seller, or high confidence that the machines will operate without problems for the 6 months you'll need to break even.

It's a decent price given the current market, but I'm not really excited about buying mining gear right now so I wouldn't take it myself.

Are you 100% sure that the electricity will be free for the next year or so?  Or is it possible you'll be kicked to the curb at some point?
Are you 100% sure they won't break?

I am sure the electric will be paid for , and i wont be paying for it.

but do i know if they wont break? no.

so if i get them for $7,000 thats 1750 a miner. and i see them sell for $3500, so obviously seems like a steal?

That would actually be your best profit, better than mining.

Buy the 4 miners and resell them right away for double the price you paid for.  $14000 or 32 Bitcoins, more than you'd probably mine if difficulty jumps are on the higher side.  Net profit of +$7000 or 16 Bitcoins on your investment.

Dam, maybe you should just pay me for advising you.  Just messin'  Tongue
