When scanned by a smart phone the code directs people to your wallet. You simply enter in your public Bitcoin address and choose the QR design to be lasered onto your coin at the time of order.
Note that the laser can only print in grayscale.

For me personally, I collect all physical bitcoins with holograms.  If you had a custom hologram, I'd get one.  But I understand that you're not adding a private key, so there's no need for one, and the hologram would take up real estate on the back from the QR code.

Also, the other thing that concerns me is that the front design is the same that you see on ebay for less.  A custom hologram to me would set it apart from the others.

Just my 2 cents.

We laser engrave your public address of choice unto the back of the coin, beyond that we can do any sort of customization with the Engraver as you would like within on the constraints of the laser.

Future coins we have not decided yet, but it will be a custom design from one of our designers minted into a one-off coin.
