my router will not let me login to my antminer with on the wireless network,

its setup on 192.168.1.99
and it just times out, when trying to access through my home wireless network
i can log into the antminer but i have to wire in and also dissable my wireless adapter.

seems like a network issue, not a hardware issue...

it would be nice to login thru my home network rather than wire in everytime, specially cause i have a few more
ordered and on the way...

the guides to set these antminers up seem to be outdated a little and there are new hardware revisions...

also.. my ant is running 2013/2/16 it has an older firmware but is running great...
i was considering updating the firmware and want to but not sure if i should...
i dont see any problem with doing it... any suggestion?

EDIT: ADDED PICS

time out... cpu and ant connected both to wifi, tried both 192.168.1.99 and x.x.x.13

How the router connect to ant ? Wireless or wired ?
Does your network has the same 192.168.1xxx setting ?
I hope you're not using home quality router you may have issues i bet..most home routers would drop connections once connected to more than 10 devices or sometimes less.

wireless, the ant connects to the router with the antenna

all settings seem correct.... im using a linksys wrt400, dual band G+N
also have the openwrt custom firmware on the router cause its better than stock.

everything seems ok...

the ant is on 192.168.1.99

and it shows up on my router as
dhcp 192.168.1.13

You should not have to do anything with your router. Just go into your network card settings and set it to these settings.

IP: 192.168.1.10
SUB: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DNS: 192.168.1.1

Now go and put in the default IP address of the S1 in your browser window of 192.168.1.99.

Go to the network settings of the S1 and change to DHCP and save. Go back to your network card settings and set it back to obtain IP address automatically.

Download this software, its free: www.Advanced-IP-Scanner.com

It will help you find your new S1, new IP address on your network.

Hope this helps.

I don't get it...

If your ant shows up in your router list as 192.168.1.13 then that's the address you should type in the browser instead of 192.168.1.99 probabaly that address is taken ?

what i dont understand is how the antminer is a static ip address and its different in the router?!

maybe its a LAN / WAN issue?

let me correct myself... probly not a wan issue, cause it is communicating with the stratum server and is hashing...

its most likely a LAN issue letting the pc talk to the ant via wifi

If you're wireless, you need a broadcast address.
I'm guessing that would be 192.168.1.254 in your case.

I got hacked by some Syrian faggot and now I have negative feedback.

If you have Wifi and LAN you would have two IP addresses for two different interfaces, make sure they are not both on the same IP.
Make sure your wifi password and encryption settings are correct. If the Ant is on WEP and the router is on WPA/PSK they wont talk to each other.
Make sure to click "save and apply" when you make changes and not just "save" which won't take effect until you reboot.

got 2 ants now, and i can access one thru wifi, but think there is a big problem with it... cause it wont get online and i have a netgear wireless to cable connector setup.  these things are very painfully hard to configure sometimes....

i also bought a killawatt

i also exchanged my thermaltake and got a corsair 1050hx, the corsair seems alot better

still got problems... i think the wifi card in the new antminer is defective... it says connected to router but wont hash to server...

I use a WAP to connect my ants to a wireless network without issues.  I've got 4 ants wired into a WAP and the WAP running wireless to my router.  I've also got 4 connected to a switch and the switch connected to a belkin WAP that has one plug.  This way the only thing you have to do is change the Ants to DHCP.

yes i have antennas on the ant miners... +8db antennas... still problems....

well, i got the ants working, but one wifi isnt... weird... i guess it isnt a big problem, cause im just gonna turn them on and off, and i dont have to change any settings.... would like to monitor and pull stats periodically, but for now it works... guess im just gonna go with the flow...

im going to TAPS plastics tommarrow, and designing a acrylic case to put the miners in, and making sure they have excessive air flow... i want the hot air to exit my house.... lmao... didnt realize it was gonna turn my house into an oven.... sure will be nice in winter... lol...

i want to over clock them, and i have tested running them oc'd, but i ordered the 72 pc heatsink kits.... and when i get thoose its gonna be overclock city... i like the 393.75mhz overclock... dont wanna do the 400...
