It seems like an awesome service and yet nobody is using it. Also, why aren't they making constant improvements to the website? Is there a competitor to OP that is really popular that I am unaware of?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think, although they dont do the same kind of advertising fabulous does, that dailybitcoins.org is getting the traffic.

I tried to market my site some time ago, however there wasnt any ads for my site, so I removed them...

I think it's because you have to make specific bids for specific sites and always check to see if you've been outbid. It needs to have more automated options like google adwords or a banner exchange.

right, when a new site tries it out but there are no bidders right away the publisher is likely to go to another ad serving service.   if there was some advertisers whose bids would automatically start serving as soon as the site gets approved it might at least decrease the level of churn.

also, with there being so little advertiser interest, the publishers are getting less revenue than even adwords cpm it appears.   i don't know a solution.  some smart cookie is going to do arbitrage -- by brokering ad impressions from some other service and have the ad impressions occur courtesy operation fabulous with the lower rates.

I also was willing to due some heavy advertising as instead of contacting sites directly, I like the affiliate marketing system

Its very confusing to get started, and it would be cool to see the publishers involved and their traffic/click stats

Really? I never thought about putting ads up, I get nervous that customers may get pissed but something to think about.

Well, to be honest, right now bitcoin is 90% speculative trading, which is very profitable for me (especially today), however I love browsing dailybitcoins to find out whether there are new services that I can actually spen my coins on.

While I love bitinstant, I thought it was ad-free on intention. And as you said, as long as we dont open the site and 100 popups come up it's fine.

Let me talk to my business partner about numbers!
