I take it they know to pay in XC because of the payment address?  They are mining most profitable scrypt coin then and trading that for XC, then take out fee and send balance to given payment address in username field?  I think that is how I am understanding this works:-)

I think you got it. Smiley

Thanks:-)

Another question, or 2.........I pointed 60 of my 160 gridseeds at US Central and am seeing 18% DOA.  Is this typical?  Should I point my other 10 to another node or the same, and if a different one does it matter which one?

Crap, I think that was 3 Roll Eyes
have you set queue to 0
and scantime and expiry to 1?

(its a p2p-pool)

I was going to ask the same thing but I have never set up gridseeds before. On gpu I set queue to zero, but leave scan and expiry at defaults with good results.

But 10% doa is typical on p2pool so running at 18% is a bit high.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I am using Hashra Controlla to run my Gridseeds and there is no way to add those parameters that I am aware of.  Never mined on a P2P-Pool to be honest, but DOA did go down to 10% when I last checked.

10% isn't bad. Let them run for a while. They will probably settle in.

same here, but you have to realize they have to sell the coins we are actually mining to then buy XC to give to us. After a day or two of seeing how things go I may mine solo on a different coin of my choosing and sell that to buy XC

I did. With BC. Well sort of. I COULD have made multiple bitcoins off of that IF I had sold before the epic dump back in April. I held the whole time unfortunately. Still pissed off about that lol

Sorry if the payouts seemed pretty crap today. That was for about 4-5 hours, and we've got some major P2Pool ramp up happening right now as hash rate on the pool went up like 900% in the past few hours with XC (I'm not even kidding when I say that). It'll take a few more hours to fully kick in and then it'll be fine. So tomorrow's payouts should be much better. This also affected BC, MINT, and SHARE miners on the pool today as well. Anyway, the payout system is at least working. All node wallets get preloaded with BC, MINT, SHARE, and XC well in advance so the delay in exchanging and paying out is minimal. And from here on out, you can track each day here.

http://cryptoalts.com/cointable/ (payouts done once every 24 hours, around ~8-10PM PST)

And mining profits will be updated to include XC starting as of 5/28 here : http://cryptoalts.com/profits/ (today is going to show blank much like 05/18/2014 which was the day I added SHARE)

Any questions, concerns, comments, etc : #cryptoalts in freenode.

Again, if your DOA is high : get on a lower hash node! http://cryptoalts.com/poolinfo/ (US East is a bit overloaded right now)
We could definitely use another pool asap because P2Pool wasn't mean to handle this much hash power per node! (I'm specifically referring to the USA East node)

Not to further bash on Dark but I saw the dev posted this

"My goal with Darkcoin has always been to take the #2 spot from Litecoin. I believe we have the best chance we've ever had now and these changes will actually help realize that goal."

I would hope the goal of a dev is to make the best and most anonymous coin possible and the market will reward those efforts accordingly. When you hear stuff like this added on top of the instamine drama and the accusations of a hidden premine it just makes you think more and more Dark is a get rich scheme.

I have to ask, since I'm new to XC - is it sort of like darkcoin but fully realized and with PoS? I can definitely get behind it, especially now that it's poised to take the #10 spot away from BC. Feels good to own some XC  Grin

it will be us under BTC not them, within 12 months probably sooner XC will be between $50-$100 a coin and who knows how much higher it can go.
