Hello, I need help fixing my problem. I have been mining with my usbminers and BFGMiner 3.1 for months on end now. When I woke up today, I didn't see my BFGMiner window open so I figured it crashed and needed to be restarted. When I opened a new window and entered the information, the problem waited 15 seconds and then just closed. I tried unplugging my miners to try and refresh them. This is when I noticed that my previous BFGMiner window was still open. Obviously when I unplugged my miners, it stopped mining. I closed all of the windows and restarted BFGMiner. This time, even with the old window closed, after I enter my server/user/pass, the program won't do anything for 20 seconds and then just close. I tried restarting my computer, downloading and older version of BFGMiner, and switching the ports I am using. I would have to get back to mining ASAP and can not find any information on the web about my problem. I'm willing to donate .1BTC if some one knows my problem or is willing to help me solve this. Thanks.

Ok some questions:

When you start BFGMiner does it say anything or is there just a blank window?

What USB Miners are you using? When you changed USB ports are they recognised by windows?

Try starting without any info (as you can enter all the important stuff when it's running). Does BFGMiner say anything?

Start bfgminer as you usually do and add the following parameters: --log 1 --logfile faillog.txt --verbose

After it crashes find the file "logfile.txt" in your bfgminer folder open it with any texteditor and paste it's output here in code brackets.

I am using Windows. After I enter my server info, BFGMiner doesnt say anything. Just acts as if it's connecting and then closes. I am using an Antminer and a twin fury. Both are picked up by windows when I plug/unplug them.

Okay that is definetly strange stuff. Could you please start BFGMiner from the command line and append the following parameters:

--debug --debuglog --verbose --logfile fail.log --device-protocol-dump --log 1

Afterward find "fail.log" in the BFGMiner folder and post it's content here.

Those enable parameters debug mode and loggin to a file and make BFGMiner as verbose as possible so it maybe tells us what is wrong.

It is really hard to tell you why BFGMiner has stopped working for you without more info.

I had the same prob a while back, turned out to be driver issue with the miners, I just sorted the drivers out and it was fine. How do you start bfg via the .exe program directly or load up the command program in windows and search for the .exe
