据Channel News Asia报道，日本警方逮捕了一名毒品进口犯罪嫌疑人，他用比特币向墨西哥的供应方支付，这是日本国内首例与比特币相关的毒品犯罪。这位38岁、名叫Ayumu Teramoto的嫌疑人被怀疑购买和进口毒品，被东京和福冈警方逮捕。

嫌疑人用价值350万日元（约合3.45万美元）的比特币在线购买了50克毒品，毒品被隐藏在一台笔记本电脑中空运至东京，被警方识破并截获。目前只透露交易是通过比特币进行的，没有公开其他细节。

使用加密货币进行支付的匿名毒品交易网站Silk Road 被关闭并没收了3万个比特币。臭名昭著的Silk Road被取缔后又涌现出许多新的交易网站，被称为Silk Road 2.0，这些网站的交易量比之前都要大。 Smiley

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.
