I was reading some other threads and someone mentioned a way to make a couple bucks a day by playing minecraft....
That was all they said, and I e-mailed them asking, but no answer.
Can anyone tell me more about this?  Cheesy

The only thing I know of that is still active is TheBitMines.com.

But they changed (for obvious reason) from paying you for mining/setting certain blocks to making the ingame economy bitcoin based.

Quote form the Site:

"> The Bit Mines is a Minecraft server that uses Bitcoin (BTC) for its economy. You can buy or sell items in-game, claim and sell plots of land, bet on PVP tournaments, bet on Spleef tournaments, and so much more - all with BTC."

There is no way of earning money playing Minecraft. It is possible that people there make stuff and then sell it. The same way the do with online RGP games. So you can do it with everything you want.

There was a server that would pay BTC for every mined block and for killing mobs.
So yes, read before posting stupid answers and misleading people.

I believe it was SgtSpike who was running a server where he was paying for certain tasks. This was however funded by mining equipment which is now past it's prime in term of earnings, and his server got popular, so it may not pay much at all now.

Hi! I found his server, its here http://minecraftcc.com/index.php?forum/ if any of you want the links.  It seems to still be active, people are still replying in the forum and everything, but I can't seem to get onto the server. GRRRR.  Not sure why....
However! it is there, it is active, as far as I can tell, and he still does pay out for every block mined.  It has dropped in price, dramatically, but I'm on a lot. XD so hopefully it will give me...something....XD
I hope this helps everyone!

Is your mumble server down? --> http://www.minecraftcc.com/index.php?wiki/mumble/

There may still be hope for the 1st decentralized cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin. How to approach different subjects is key to progress.

or I`d be playing minecraft just for that.

There is, I have done it before. It's not very profitable time-wise, but if you enjoy minecraft you can get paid for playing it.

I will post a link in a few hours (I am posting this from my ipad so I don't have the link here)

/edit it may have been minecraftcc btw

Are they still alive? There has been no activity in their thread for the last two weeks.

If anyone's interested, there's an active minecraft server which accepts Dogecoins: dogefest.coffeenet.org
