I offer loans with 25% collateral. I prefer LTC but am open to alternative offers.

Anyone sending collateral to this newbie will just have their coins stolen.

Did you mean to say 125% or are you taking a risk?

Nope.  His game is to attract people with his low collateral requirements, then run with the coin.  Collateral scammer.

25% collateral because I need some security in all this.

The above reads like paranoia.

You'll need collateral worth more that the loan. If someone gave you about 10 ltc collateral for a 1 btc loan, they could default and make a 0.75 btc profit. You should also have an escrow hold the collateral for you if you want a chance to be taken seriously. You have no reputation and should not yet be trusted with anyone's money.

Nope not paranoia but common sense it's obvious what you intend to do and VOD likes to warn others who may fall for it. I say good on him.

As long as you escrow.  Without escrow, either you'll scam, the lendee will scam, or both of you will try to scam..  This will be fun to watch Smiley

Hmm, damn, it actually seems like it is not really worth loaning here right (too dangerous?).

The idea of offering small collateral was just to encourage people in the age of 'no collateral' but it seems the community has been shook. Anyway, it's no major deal. If anyone is interested let me know and if not that's no issue either.
