COIN RELEASE DATE AND TIME

Once again I'd like to take the time firstly to apologize for the delay of launch as I know it has upset quite a few people, however I can say that the coin should be released latest in a week.  I am hoping to get the code finished over the weekend however.

The delay was caused with issues on the code and events that caused time to be very limited. The code issue is  currently being resolved.

If you have any further questions or suggestions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Do you feel that the choice to go with X11 as are algorithm is a good choice?

Welcome to FunCoin, a brand new coin based on the Litecoin Scrypt.

AIMS

FunCoin is being set up to help put the FUN in crypto currencies

We want to help create a fun coin that people can use with their friends and family

The team here want's to remove the seriousness that is in most coins nowadays so people can enjoy trading with this coin and to use it for whatever they want!

we are going to try and bridge the gap with people who are on the edge with crypto currencies. Many people have only seen negative opinions on crypto currencies, to name a few; MtGox, Silk Road etc.

Many people are unsure about the concept of crypto currencies as it is still relatively new. We aim to make having a crypto currency a fun and  exciting thing to do, a coin you can have a laugh with and use for general things in life like sending small gifts to friends etc or whatever you feel like!

We have a couple of projects in mind also. More on that later

We strongly believe that Crypto currencies should be about having fun not just about the seriousness of big investors etc. We want to appeal to all generations from kids to grand parents and parents. Parents could tip their kids in FunCoin instead of small pocket money, kids can trade with their friends in exchange for things that kids do.

We hope to fund exciting projects and have many ideas for the future of FunCoin.

Every week we will be asking for ideas on uses or projects for FunCoin and at the end of the week we shall take a poll, and then we shall implement the idea or project into FunCoin soon.

I understand your feelings towards the creation of alt coins as I know there are literally hundreds. However FunCoin is a coin that is mostly run by the community not the us the Developers. We will be taking ideas from the community the whole time.

But... can't you do all that and everything you say in later post with an existing coin? Take Dogecoin for example. It has already a fun name. 

I really do not think that adding more and more coins (all the same but different names) will help kids and parents to understand cryptocurency.
