i looked at

I dont quite understand how to get my api key and secret

Yeah, as Fordy said: https://mtgox.com/settings/apps-and-api
Create a new API key, and you'll need both the "key" and the "secret".
If you're doing anything for a website, I have an opensource API in PHP for mtgox that should make this extremely easy to use their API.
