In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Eligius is my primary pool with 90% of my S1 hash going to them
Bitminter is the primary failover
I have one of the p2pools hashing at 10% of my hashrate just so I can give some support to one of the truly decentralised mining pools.
