Hi!

I am running my Hashfast BJ via a Windows 7 computer running CGMiner 4.3.1

I have been going through this archive of 50+ pages to catch up a bit:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=426644.680
I am up to around page 32 and have pretty much confused myself.

My questions:

1 - Cgminer
my pool is: btcguild
my pool url is: eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333

If I just put the below into a cgminer.conf file
cgminer -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u my_username -p my_password

How do I configure the conf file so that I just double click  cgminer.exe and it starts up and connects to my pool AND takes the overclock arguments??

2 - OC'ing how-to
I understand that I can pass this value:
--hfa-hash-clock <arg>

to overclock the machine, after every time I do so, do I have to restart the machine or... what do I do?

3 -  OC'ing clock speed
Do I have to go from 550 to 560 then to 570 then 580 etc or can I just jump to 612 as suggested in the previously referenced thread?

Thanks!
