Shipped out the door price lowered to 21.16 mBTC. Dude, how do you ship your T-Shirts for $1 USD?! I'm only charging actual shipping, which is USPS priority mail. I've padded the numbers 18.5% to cover Bitcoin price volatility. The T-Shirt's price is at cost, wholesale.
Hmmm... maybe I should ship the T-Shirts regular mail? With no tracking and no insurance? But, I've always shipped stuff usps priority mail with tracking and insurance on ebay and the few times that I did ship regular mail with no tracking and no insurance, I've always been taken for a ride. The buyer claims that he didn't receive it and then requests a refund from paypal. Maybe this isn't a worry because bitcoin payments are nonreversible?
Thanks for the schooling. I've lowered the price of shipping to 8.27 mBTC to cover only regular mail with no insurance and no tracking.
I also understand that you've priced your t shirts in dollars and then convert to BTC on the fly at the shopping cart. This eliminates the need for price padding to cover price volatility. I'm trying to price it in BTC, period. This is because I theorize that if enough people do like I do, then the price of BTC will be more stable and we won't have worry about any more price volatility wild swings. Your percentage over the cost is your profit. My percentage over is just to cover price volatility. I will refund this difference in full if the value of bitcoin goes up more than 18.5%
Anyways, this is a ONE TIME group buy. I don't want to get into the T-shirt biz. I'm much more of an ideas guy and scientist but not much of a biz man. Thanks again for the schooling. New price is 12.89 + 8.27 =
21.16 mBTC shipped anywhere in the 48 contiguous states of the USA.
