I have a hard drive about to fail, and I need to buy a drive to back everything up to. I am about .1BTC or ~$50 short. I will repay the .115 within a maximum 40 days (giving myself some room here because cryptos seem to be rather volatile at the moment.) though if I have it sooner, I will repay it sooner. Repayment will come primarily from my mining rig, with 2 6970s, a 5830, and a 6950, which I have in RMA right now. I am also owed some money by a friend, and I have some computer hardware I could sell in a pinch if needed.

I have good rep on the forums here, and have done several loans in the past, all without issue:

How much will you repay if you get the 0.10 BTC loan?

Yes I do.

I would use altcoins as collateral, except if I had them, I would just exchange them for the money I need right now. Thank you for the offer though.

Oops, I meant to suggest .115BTC, sorry, it was late at night, I will fix the OP.

EDIT: I have some flexibility on the interest rate/gratuity, as long as it's not unreasonable.

Hey icet, this really sucks but we need to enforce no collateral no loan as a community so that people don't keep trying to pull these fast ones. I don't want to say he's a scammer yet but it seems very likely...

I've negative repped him and am about to PM KWH to take a look at this thread. He apparently sold him some GPU units in the past so you'd assume we can get contact info about him so you can pursue your funds... I'll also ask KWH to removed positive trust.

I'd recommend you take similar actions to get your money back,

Regards,

RCH

As I replied: I have done much more in sales with him than this loan and he always paid first. I have notified him via PM and am waiting for a reply. If no reply and loan is not repaid then I will act accordingly.

When the subject of buying BTC with Paypal comes up, I often remember this:

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Sure I just wanted to keep the public in the loop. I know icet is an honest member of our community. Seeing him getting burned hurts me. Take the time to consider the situation, in all probability his account has been hacked but as I said in the PM he may have gone rogue. Either way best efforts must be made to resolve this situation...
