Why waste electricity on Litecoins? As a crypto currency branching from and directly competing with Bitcoin (Litecoin has no protocol-level advantage over Bitcoin whatsoever) Litecoin is next to worthless.
The current rate of exchange is 2000 LTC for one BTC.

LTC may be the best thing to mine solo, but why are you doing it instead of a pool?

Because I tend towards individualism more than collectivism,
also getting a 50 is sweeter than small steady payouts, i probably will join a pool
once litecoin gets bigger and more competative.

If it does. At the current exchange rates, its future is questionable.

CPU mining is a waste of time right?
With bitcoin yes, but litecoin is optimized for CPU so GPU mining is impossible currently.

Unless you have free electricity it is more like:

Mine litecoins, sell them for less Bitcoins that you would get simply buying them -> take a loss with CPU

CPU mining is a waste of time

Exactly, not enough computing horse power to be worthwhile.
