@CrackedLogic
I suggest you offer the giveaway/contest for 1 BTC, so the winner can get what they really want, or is the person with the most interesting "dream gift" suggestion the one who also wins the prize?

I don't want anything bought with a probably stolen bitcoin.

Don't worry BTCat, it's not stolen at all, I'm trying to think of an item to give away and I need help. I'm managing a giveaway that's being created by a site that I work with.

yeah, but to be honest, buying tech gear is something quite common for most people. it seems like you want to buy something that isn't so common.

I think the greatest gift would be one that keeps on giving and enriches everyone. I live in a foreign country without a great adoption rate. After spending hundreds of hours of educated friends and local businesses I have only yet managed to convert a couple businesses so far and a few friends. The best luck I have had was sending all of my friends and family member's 25usd of bitcoin for Christmas.

 I think what is being done at MIT and coinbase with the giveaways is great for increased adoption but believe it is slightly more important to increase adoption by local businesses and charities. I would love to split 1 bitcoin up into 20 segments create an informational starter package with Bitcoin accepted here stickers and offer the 25USD to any businesses who choose to accept Bitcoin at their physical storefront. Perhaps even film the whole transformative process of converting over local towns into bitcoin accepting neighborhoods?

I know, I totally misread your profiletrust, deleted the post about it but it lives on in quotes:) Sorry for that.

I think anyone would be happy with a usb miner, you could get a bunch of those for 1 btc.

I wouldn't necessarily say that it is my "dream gift" but I am interested in the little laser that you can buy at dudeiwantthat.com.   I have always been interested to see if those things actually work!

I'm planning to go home for Christmas to see my wife in the Philippines (it will be the first Christmas we'll have as a married couple)... CheapAir is taking bitcoins... Would love to get some help with the tickets since Christmas time is expensive.

Most USB miners are not profitable. But that doesn't matter, because I want them for looks Grin
I like the hat idea by the way, would buy one of those.

I've got three...they're all males. teenager and up.

Want one?

They're potty trained! I'll even go btc  Grin
