Google is evil

The filter searches to their benefit and information which was once accessible and true is now forbidden including medical studies to pharmaceuticals.

Google is evil, alright. But we really have any choice? Google is the best at what it does. Other search engines are just a shadows of mighty google. Google is so powerful that it has a religion called 'googlism' already. You can't reason with that. Just accept it.

All I can say is its better then most companies out there.

Its brining google fiber soon, making internet more affordable. $30 month with fiber optics..

Also google allows people to make money as well, with ads.

This also excludes ventures they fund as well, to make capitalism work in US.

I find Google very useful personally. It has changed a vast amount of lives in the way of finding things out, finding out where to go, learning and education. I can only see it has a good thing.

If google is evil, who is the saint? Is there a saint at all? Before we have a search engine saint, we will have to choose a lesser evil.

I stoped using google a year or so ago and went over to startpage instead. https://startpage.com/

I can't for sure say that Google is evil, but they do block way to many results and also keep you inside your own "bubble" and that can be quite bad, if you ask me.

However, I still use Google because it always finds what I am searching for and that is exactly what I want. Let's just say that I have mixed feelings for Google.

And google is on spot.

I use to use ixquick, duckduckgo, they all suck. they don't do what google can do. Google search engine is so powerful and their gmail is wicked. google drive is awesome.

Google works for me, I work for them in a way as well but kinda don't as I block ads, their redirects with ABP & redirect cleaner.

If you ever noticed when you search google, click a link and you slightly see a link show up in the urlbar rather than the source or hover your mouse over a google link it's does not show the source? redirect cleaner cleans this mess up.
