Is it possible for an alternative crypt-currency to spread just like the bitcoin did or even get a higher value than btc.

There's always that possibility, that another coin gets wildly adopted. Look at Darkcoin these days.

But for now we aren't done with Bitcoin. Plenty of work to be done with it.

while i was writing this thread ,I was thinking that it is possible, it's  all about marketing ,for instance if the coin was provided as a solution for countries that don't support paypal especially in growing countries.

Depends... what value u r offering. I'm not talking about ur coin's value. It is the value in terms of functionality.

If you are looking at the market capacity potential, then it is very possible an altcoin is going beat Bitcoin at some point in the future. Solely on the price per coin though - it's very unlikely. Either way, it will take an unprecedented level of talent and a huge collaboration between the greatest minds in cryptocurrency to achieve anything close to a rival to Bitcoin's price or maket cap.

Until developers really start working together to focus their aims towards improving on Bitcoin, not merely copying it, then they will be losing ground to Ripple. Ripple isn't really an altcoin but it has the potential to be accepted as a worldwide payment method and this is where Bitcoin falls flat on it face.

Of course they can. Keep in mind that Bitcoin is almost 5 years old. It takes a lot of time and effort, but anything is possible. If someone could prove to the world (at least those that use Bitcoin) that their coin was far superior, and could work on merchant adoption (someone with a lot of money and contacts could do this), they could surpass it.
