Sent an other 2.49BTC 24 hours ago, nothing yet.
-No response to multiple support Emails
-No reply to facebook message
-Not answering the phone

The transaction:

No reply from support@btcpromo.net, not answering +30 231 027 2737, no answer through facebook.

Contacted paypal@virwox.com and support@virwox.com, they say they are not associated with btcpromo.net and they are possibly a scam.
Asked them for further clarification, why they are involved with the transaction; waiting for their reply.

"Hello,

It seems they have opened a VirWoX user account, funded it with bitcoin,
exchanged it to USD and sent your PayPal payment from there. Probably an
attempt to convince you to send them more.

But we have not received more bitcoin for this account. You have to contact
them.

Greetings,

VirWoX Support"

This is bad, sorry for your loss.

But one short remark. Out of all these big and widely used exchanges, you decide to use the one which is completely unknown. Why?

For security, your account has been locked. Email acctcomp15@theymos.e4ward.com

I can see my two 1 btc transactions. Made one week ago to date, still nothing. Supposedly, the two transactions caused a "merge" and blah blah blah they can't pay me. Said it would take a week to "sort it out" and here I am. No email followup, no paypal balance. I will update if successful, but that seems like a long shot.

Called +30 231 027 2737 again; after some Greek recorded introduction (no clue what they are saying) I got connected to a woman.
-Hi, do you speak English?
-One moment please /transferring/
-Hello /other woman/
-Hi, do you speak English?
-Yes
-Are you operating the btcpromo.net website?
Hang up

Called again, it's a real estate company  Grin
They have never heard about bitcoin or btcpromo.net

I am feeling kind of lucky now, because if the guys would have processed the 2.49BTC, I would have sent some considerable amount.

(Why? Bad week => greed and stupidity...)

The whole bad week leading to greed and stupidity claim is so true it hurts! That was what drove me to try and sell them 2 btc. But I guess that that's a positive way to look at things, seeing as how I also would have sold them a lot more than just 2 btc if they'd have processed it and given me my money.

If people were honest, the world would be a considerably better place to live. Hopefully what they say about karma is true and these guys will get what they deserve.

Double post, but an important post:

support@btcpromo.net emailed me and wrote that they have my bitcoins ready to send. But first, I have to delete all of the claims that they have scammed me.

Because I do not trust them to hold up their side of the bargain, I have promised to delete EVERY SINGLE POST I have made (there are plenty) ruining their reputation once they send 2 btc to my address at:

https://blockchain.info/address/1BFA3jy1yrN3ZWXqEwbrGpLJPTU4Lq32qy

This is a happy compromise because now if anyone is in doubt, they can just plug that address into the blockchain. If 2 btc are there, please dismiss all of my posts defaming btcpromo.net (if I have not already done so yet). If the wallet is still empty, well, they are still a scam.

100% a scam

I totally send 5 btc. Here beneath you see the emails between us.

The oldest email is the last

Hello

*Thank you for using our service.

*Well if you cannot send it in any way - the last option would be to ask the developers to work on the issue and fix it. As i informed you earlier, that would take some time.

*Please be aware that my shift finishes in 40 minutes. If you are able to complete the transaction in any way until then, please contact me.
Otherwise i will inform the developers to start working on the issue, right after they finish working on the migration.

*If you have any questions or ideas feel free to contact us on this e-mail address.

Regards,

Try even with borrowing the last 2.0 btc, and that will initiate the payout right away.

Hello

*Thank you for using our service.

*As we informed you this is because of the system. It merged the two transactions together because they came from the same btc address... That can be resolved instantly with sending 1.5 btc more and the payout will be instant (5-10 minutes), it won't even take 5 hours.

*But if the 1.5 is not sent together in one transaction, the system holds the btc marked as "on hold" and that will have to be fixed by the developers (that is why it may take a week or so)...

*For the system to change the status of the transaction from "on hold" to "processed" the 1.50 btc must be sent from the same originating btc address (1MYYvt77nuqTPG6WBAUQHguAZQPBtNC3k8) to the same receiving address (1T68uy1WwvXQR1K3awy1DS6HLvbcirod9).

That will lead to instant payout.

*Sorry for the delay, i have just contacted the developers to see why the delay occurred. It seems that the system merged your two transactions as one and expects the full 1.5 btc to be received in one single transaction.

*This can be solved  immediately, you just need to send the total amount of 1.5 btc to the btc address assigned to you (1T68uy1WwvXQR1K3awy1DS6HLvbcirod9) and the system will mark the transactions completed, which will lead to payout in 5-10 minutes.

*It may take couple days for clearing the bigger transactions first, depending from the volume of trades in the next few days.

I wonder when your 0.5BTC was not credited then why do you send another payment and huge as well 2.49BTC?If you could throw them just for testing maybe you would have given some BTCBTCBTC away to forum members for fun.
