I read the story of a guy who managed to get faucet from a gambling website and get more than 3 btc to pay for his expenses so I thought maybe it can help me with my problems too but I lost some money. Then I came up with a decent strategy and took the loss back with some profit. This strategy had 0.04% chance of losing all the money but that happened and I lost 0.95 btc which was the savings of 1.5 years of work. I had to cut from my other things and save that money, then wire it to my friend's paypal so invest in bitcoins which was his idea actually and it was working just fine before I read about that guy on the internet. Today a friend of me gave me a few more cents in btc, but I lost them again to the same strategy.

I'm from Iran, you can't even imagine the hell I'm living in. 1$ is worth 40,000 my currency and you can get food for a day with that much. People are really poor in this country, we use dial-up internet. I get paid every 1.5 months with just enough to get by. My mother ended up in hospital since three months ago and I had to pay for her because my dad doesn't have enough money. All of the money from my last payment has been spent for my mother's hospital and helping my dad and I was counting on the investment I made in bitcoins to pay the house rent and pay for food. I literally don't have enough money to buy food for more than a week or a few days more than a week.

You can't even think about the quality of life here, I was really rich with those savings before I lost it all. Only rich people have electronic devices and internet a bit better than dial-up. My house rent has already been delayed for 5 months and each month has a 5% fine, this is the last month, if I don't pay for it, I will have my stuff thrown out. I might be able to live with my dad and borrow some money from him for food but I will never do that, he already has his own problems so suicide is only honorable way to go now. I'm working from 8 to 5, and won't have any money until my next payment, I don't have any real life friends to borrow from, my life is literally ruined.

Because of US sanctions I had to use my friend's PayPal to invest my savings throughout this 1.5 year by wiring him the money legally. I have to pay for rents in 5 days and it takes me at least 2 days to sell the bitcoins and have the money in my own currency. I totally lost my life to 0.04% chance of losing, and since I can't pay for my expenses now and my mother gets out of the hospital next week and the money is fully paid, I'm gonna kill myself with poison in 3 days before I starve to death or make a family member some trouble. In those 3 days I'm going to search for a better and more efficient way to kill myself and hope maybe somehow a miracle happens.

I just wanted to say that I don't blame anyone but myself. I wrote the story here but I don't want to name any specific casino because I think that might scare a potential user or two and I really don't have any hard feelings for anybody or any casino. I also want to thank them for their fair service, that was totally my fate to lose to 0.04% and kill myself and I have no hard feelings against that casino or anybody else.

I wish you all a good life and good luck, if any of you know better ways to kill myself other than rat poison please tell them to me in PM. I know cutting myself is probably not gonna work and we don't really have buildings taller than 5 floors that I can jump off. Most people use taxis and old buses and I don't have a personal car either, so rat poison is the only ready option I have available but I read that it's not really efficient either. Please let me know if you know a better way to die for me, help me one last time...

So you are saying your "rent" is worth 450 days worth of food.

Damn mate, if my rent is as much as expensive as your rent in that Iran I would have died years ago  Grin

Are you gonna post your smart answer now? I am waiting for it mate.
Okay , I've done some research.
It will still be poisonous and you will die a slow painful death from internal bleeding about 3 days after consuming it.
Not fun.

Anyways , how much exactly is your rent ?
You should scrape through , you can do it pretty easily with the internet and generous Bitcoiners. (assuming you don't get flagged as spam and burnt)

From what I read, if I drink all I have, it shouldn't take more than a few hours. Maybe you've read about a different poison or what I have isn't called rat poison in English.

I have to pay 1 btc at least before the deadline only for the house rent alone and "lightlord" has been really generous trying to help me but I really can't accept money from other people. There's just no reason for them to help me, even if they're kind enough to do so, I still won't have enough in time so I asked him for a wallet and I'm gonna return him the coins he sent me. I only gave him wallet so he can see how I lost everything so suddenly.

The cost of property is staggering here, so most people have to pay rents. I have to pay almost 85$ each month for the rent. Same goes for bills, the bills are really expensive too but food on the other hand is really cheap here. You wouldn't starve to death if you manage to live and sleep on the streets.

I really can't believe it but "lightlord" has given me all the money I needed to pay off my rent and I'll be owing him forever for literally saving my life. Now with the rent paid off, I can manage the food and other things myself although it will be a very little bit hard but the main problem was solved. I really can't ever thank him enough for literally saving my life. Thank you lightlord!

I hope you stay away from gambling for the rest of your life.  If gambling took you to such a low spot then it is clearly something you should never ever mess with again.  Gambling is fun but almost no one ever quits when they're ahead.  That is when they're having the most fun, so why stop?  Then you see the result...  same story happens a thousands of times every hour on this planet.

What part of Iran are you from?

US sanctions have seemed to really contribute to inflation. When I was there last year $1 = 1500 toman. You are saying $1 = 4000 now?

wow then, fake your death they will pay too.

Enjoy your time, make fun of me.

I'm not sure why you've decided to post on a bitcoin forum.  Do you WANT to die?  Or are you simply committing suicide because you believe there is no other option?  If it's the second one, don't kill yourself, go meditate.  I'm not sure why you lost it all, then got a bit, and then decided to lose it all again.

Never gamble with what you can't afford to lose.

It's unstable between 3000 and 4000 tomans.

Are you that guy I met at Waves coffee? Because I did met someone at a cafe in downtown Vancouver that
was a Bitcoin user on bitcointalk.org. I don't remember who, but it was like 6 months ago I think.
I generally go there to sell bitcoins, etc, very convenient, though recently been using local bitcoins
as the fee is better.

Also profited several times, by buying BTC at $330 there, and selling at $500 several times, made quite a decent amount of $$$ doing that.

All gamblers, even the sucessfull guys have been broke multiple times.

If you saved what you consider to be a huge amount of money in 1.5 years why would you kills yourself? Just do it again and buy something with it that you cant gamble with, like gold. You have to die anyway so just might as well go down fighting.

Hmmm... I'll make an exception. Feel free to transcribe an LTB episode, OP. It pays .15BTC per episode transcript. Shouldn't take more than a day (probably <5h once you have it down).

Nah... probably not :/  Real gamblers always be like "it happened to that guy, doesn't mean it'll happen to me."  Besides, there are little to no people in your current situation Wink

Sorry. I forget how incomplete that thread is since I decided not to move qwk's ruleset over. Basically, qwk and Adam at Let's Talk Bitcoin have put together a bounty of .15BTC per episode of Let's Talk Bitcoin transcribed. The episodes are ~1 hour long in audio, but generally take a good bit longer to transcribe well. Once you submit a transcript (preferably in .doc format on Scribd.com), I'll proofread it (usually within a couple days), and then you'll be paid.

A more complete list of rules and guidelines for transcripts is here.
