I've yet to bust it open and grease it all up...an auxiliary fan brought the temp down by 5

lol no, just recalling the horror stories from another thread. I don't actually have any.

I hope I continue to get lucky.....all of the OEM cards I have bought from newegg work like a champ.  I don't run them hard, and have them in the open....so I am sure that helps

I will sell em for $410 each shipped usa or if no takers replace 2 5850's I have in a rig.  It won't take long for them to pay off.

i recently got a reference 5870 refurb and it was a mess.   After some new thermal paste i dropped 23C plus now the fan runs at 36% instead of 70%.

Actually newegg is one of the places that does NOT seem to do this.  They sell the open box ones as separate listings.  Bensoutlet.com sold a bunch of the factory refurbished about a month ago, and those were not so consistent as the new ones I have bought from newegg.

There is a lot of resentment for smart business sense on this forum.

Anyway, I'm actually selling some older ones.  As well as 5850's, 5870's, and 6970's.

Maybe you can make an offer......

That was true a few days ago, but maintaining your asking price in the wake of the 7950s @ $450 probably isn't a wise move.
