I am thinking of getting multiple AMD 6970 cards. I don't consider the 6990's because they are too hot and noisy.
How many people would be interested in renting them monthly to mint bitcoin? How much would you like to pay for 1 month worth of AMD 6970 crunching? Please keep in mind the cost of the hardware, power of the GPU, and additional AC to cool the house. I think the best way is for people to rent the GPU and have it run as a group mining, such as joining deepbit.net.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Why would you not simply mint the coins for yourself? Forget renting where you have to give up even more ... unless you think the return is going to be less than the cost ....

Then convert them to cash ... cheaper than the rent overhead and no worries about being held responsible for hardware failure, etc. Also keep in mind that if you intend to be paid in cash you may run afoul of the IRS

I should point out that the 6970 is PLENTY noisy. If you are going to pool them for "renting" then you will likely get more bang for your buck with the 6990's and good ventilation since they only use one PCIx slot. For me, the limiting factor was that I didn't want to put $850+ into a single card, the 6990 (I could actually get two 6970's cheaper) and it was too long to fit in my case; as it is, the 6970 only has about 1/4" to spare in length.

"6970 is PLENTY noisy", but you recommend me get 6990 as if they have lower noise level? The 6990 only uses one PCI-E slot doesn't make sense either. The card is so huge that even though u can insert it into one physical slot, but it would take up 3 slot spaces for tiny room of ventilation.
