A new, contrarian indicator.

Currently in the first 20 threads on this page there are no bullish threads and about 5 bearish threads.

Care to list what you think of as bearish ones?

I am a bit lazy - so I am now changing the range to 10 first threads.

The obviously bearish ones:

Smart Money has left the building… Have you?
shit, shit, shit

No obviously bullish threads, but if the date was not sooo far away one could count "Block Reward changing to 25 BTC in November-December 2012".

At the 12 position was another bear: KNIFE IMMINENT

Your indicator is basically a poll of what the top 10 posters think.  Why not add a poll to this thread and just ask what people think?  I think you'll get better data because only really chatty posters start new threads when there are several other relevant threads in the top 10.

Oh god.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Oh god.

You don't get it, proudhon. We're going so high so fast, the spike will rip a hole in the space/time continuum and all our buys will get executed in 2009, retroactively skyrocketing the price to infinity.

Selling out to advertisers shows you respect neither yourself nor the rest of us.

I wouldn't get too excited. We are still just tussling about with the same $2M that was injected between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5. Best possible case IMO is to start bumping $7.20 again and demonstrate a strong bearish consensus in the Speculation threads... Perhaps then Whale will come in and spend another $1M or so.

I was going to toss some minnow sized buys in there at 5.32. And then I saw;

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Look for: Bumping $7.20, low volume, low volatility, bearish sentiment... In the dead of night.

Which time zone?
