The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

You could build a POS system or a vending machine. Or maybe an appliance to visualize hash rate or difficulty of the network.

bitsyncom is developing a an Internet cell tower that is completely, I think, separate from the Regular Internet.  Users use it by paying for it with bitcoins.  The more bandwidth u use the more u pay.  since bitcoins can handle micro transactions it is perfect.

A 3D printer vending machine.

This would be awesome.
If someone could figure out how to calculate material costs and time, an order can be placed and paid in advance. A bazaar type website could be built around this. It would be even better if one could upload the specs, get the estimate, and pay for the item.

It would be nice if someone wrote some mining software to run FPGAs on an ARM platform. Something like the Raspberry Pi with any other FPGA. This would create a very low power mining environment.

How about an ambitious combo?

1)  A Bitcoin card that swipes like a credit card.
2)  A POS credit card machine (like the kind you see in a gas station) that reads both credit cards and the Bitcoin card.  POS credit card/Bitcoin card machine can communicate with both credit card servers and the Bitcoin network.

A network of 3d printers/vending machines/supply storage/robot vehicles that autonomously warehouse, package, transport, resupply and vend/print that uses bitcoin as their command and control protocol.

Bitcoin combines money, the wrongest thing in the world, with software, the easiest thing in the world to get wrong.

Yes, but Bitcoin will not be used by people, but instead by the intelligent RBE network Bitcoin v6.0 itself.

A ~$100 mining brick that lets you configure it via web page (including your energy costs) and that automatically switches on and off depending on whether it's profitable or not to mine.  One day, through integration with a power company's billing systems, it will even be possible to forward the earnings to your power company to offset your bill.

Bitocin Think Twunk Tank: A place to express your brainfarts to the community with the hope that one day...

An aluminum can recycling machine that pays out in local currency or BTC. Change the smiley face to the Bitcoin logo, and it's golden. The profit margin for these set-ups is handsome. Therefore, I suggest that if a user wants payment in BTC, he should get a slightly higher return than fiat. Kids could use it get some micro-bits so that they can bump Bieber stories on CoinSmack. It can be called 'Bits for Cans'.
