Given the title, the subject of this thread should be self-explanatory.

Sans further ado, post.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

So then, where is a good start to the drama? 09 history is boring and many have had their fill of it,
Might I suggest the intro pick up at the current state of the bitcoin foundation and the public opinion of its lack of progress, or maybe put a light on its achievements?
Or am I far off from where this thread should go?
