VPS Squared - Virtual, Powerful, Supported VPSs A Powerful, and Cheap alternative to the often under supported VPS solutions out there. VPS Squared is a quite unique VPS Hosting company. We are small, and have a very under-utilized server at our disposal. We own one IP, everyone shares it, this is unlikely to change for a while, when we can, we'll buy more. We are aiming for Full Transparency, financial and infrastructure. These VPSs are unmanaged but if you're nice enough we'll likely help you with issues. So take a chance, it's very inexpensive and we're small so you know it will be a personable experience. Now that I ordered 8GB of RAM for it, I'll be leaving 3GB for the system.
This means that there will be 7 "The Needy" slots available. And 2x the others.. of course.
PM me or post here if you're interested, also price may drop soon if BTC:USD rate stays up.

These VPS' have the best 'bang for buck' value that I've seen on the web. I've been looking for a cheap VPS for ages, but I never did find one that would have enough resources to power what I want and still be cheap. These, though, are a clear exception! Where else can you get 2GHz of CPU, unlimited bandwidth, a decent amount of ram, and an awesome amount of HDD for such a low price? Anyway, I've been testing the VPS for a while now, and I've got to say that I'm impressed! The connection speed is decent, it downloads from the ubuntu servers at around 600kbps. At the very least, the openvpn setup I ran on it is faster than the service that BTCLot provides (especially since I connect from China). The processing power is great! I have a dedicated athlon x2 3800+ rig that doesn't even catch up to what this vps can hash. Tech support was also extremely fast, got replies and fixes within 10 minutes, most of the time only within 5. Overall, it's a great VPS service! Good job MrGaSp!!

Thank you for your post and great comments Wasn't sure how it'd preform, glad your VPN works for you I was wondering. Again, Thank you bravetheheat.

No Direct Downloads copyrighted content Does that mean the VPS can't be used to directly download copyrighted content or it can't be used to host direct download of copyright content.

*Softcaps will change, progressively down to: 1/12(The Needy), 1/24(Special Sir), and 1/40(That One.) as the system gets more nodes on the system(It will never be loaded past 12GB for VPSes)
Question, will the softcaps go down for those who have already purchased a vps subscription?

Question, will the softcaps go down for those who have already purchased a vps subscription? Yea they'll have to, eventually I might upgrade the CPU on that system though. There will only be up to 27-24 systems on the server, 12 if they're all 'The Needy' So caps wont be too harsh. If this server stays happily full, I'll want to buy a better server shortly. Then after that it'll have to wait, wife wants a house. I also didn't design this to be a CPU powerhouse, but rather storage and ram based, with a decent CPU behind it. (Also i wouldn't worry about yours, I think you've been on one core sense boot....I'll change/doublecheck that after i add the RAM) So far the number of requests / systems has been 3 for 'The Needy', and yours, 'That One.' As a last note, I'll be running one of 'The Needy' Systems along side the clients', and i'll do tests from point to point to make sure everything is running smoothly for everyone, compared to other VPS services.

Thanks for the full core btw! I just noticed that after I checked /proc/cpuinfo. 3.86Ghz... What kind of cpu does the host have? It would have to be pretty new to have a (I'm assuming, since there are 2 "The Needy" and two "That One") four-core AMD processor clocked at 3.8... 3.9 Ghz Tri-core.... I have more CPU than a "The Needy" package? O_o

I have all three cores now? proc/cpuinfo shows me three amd cores at 3.86 GHz, and minerd gives me three threads at a full >4 khash each. What's going on? EDIT: I'm mining litecoins Don't currently have time to setup the programs I want (rutorrent just keeps failing = =) , so just using spare cputime to mine.

I believe 1 core is your allocation under full load; cores are split based on who is using them, so when no else is using them, you will receive all three. And, unless you're mining Litecoins, 4 Khash is way too slow, do you mean 4 Mhash?
