close up on the broken module without heatsink ... it's the AM BE200 ...

at least it's looking like it works now .... except that I still haven't got the image that I could use with the miner .... so I can't even test the 3 boards that look okay and the one that hopefully works

At the moment I'm really not sure if such a damage could have happened to the miner even if they would have played football with it ... it looks more like somebody just assembled it and forced the pins into the connectors with out carrying if they break ... it took me around 1 hour to get them back in after having fixed each pin set ...

Ok so they sent out the first miner all community is waiting to receive the comments back
and they do not test the miner if it works???

its really confusing on what to buy

1) bitmain delivers broken S2
2) other chinese either they dont deliver or deliver poor condition
with multiple small problems
3) KNC and BFL and others dont deliver at all
4) Spondoolies is expensive

I have one of these 800GH miners coming hopefully. Paid 27th.

Seeing from those pictures miner has 2x 8pin CPU connectors rather than 8pin PCI-Express connectors. Need to find cables for that. You can only get 1x 8-pins from single ATX-psu.
Adaptors from 6/8pins PCI-e connectors to 8pin CPU connectors would be sweet.

6/8pin PCI-e connectors can be stuffed to 8pin CPU connectors if you put it wrong way for + - to match. I think.

I have been the recipient of several working S2's.  Unfortunately, BITMAIN is only selling kits these days.

So $160 per month for hosting la800g?

0,2USD*0,8kW*24*31(30) approx. 115-120USD/miner(LA800G)/month of hosting with LA.

Always overshoot estimates (for fees) so the return is always better than you originally thought.  Wink

Hi waldohoover, sure you're right Smiley

as a small summary of my purchase at lightningasic.com

paid 2.765 BTC for a LA800G, shipping in 48h confirmed by Jack on skype ...

it arrived around 9 days later ... jack told me he will add a sd card, a psu & cables for compensation

all in all I would say it's a little late but it's okay ... and can be counted as in the terms ...

... to the second part and that's probably the worst experience I ever made ...

The package wasn't secured against impacts that can occure when shipping ...

the material arrived in an unusable state, modules where broken of from the connectors, connector pins where twisted ...

sd card was not booting on my raspberry .... It took my around five hours to fix the connectors that could be fixed ....

I achieved to get 4 modules back in spot the fifth one was broken to much to even solder it ...

I had to wait around three more days to get a image copy from jack .... to finally test the miner ...

... the result was that only three modules worked out of the 4 replaced .... at around 385 gh avg. over 3-4 hours pulling 639 watt but that might be because of the broken module

I haven't heard anything concerning a compensation from jack till now .... nor an excuse or somethign else ...

In the end I believe this was a really bad experience ... maybe jack will get back to me and offer somethinn ... but at this point I believe not in this.

I'm also not sure if that kind of damage can occure when shipping such a miner, for me it looked more like a more or less broken miner that was taken apart ato fix, and after seeing it has nothing to fix they poorly build it back not looking at the connectors just brute forcing it in and then ... shipped to me ...

Yes such credibility much wow... Roll Eyes
If ever challenged about that they always point out to their seemingly glorious track record of "shipped million dollars of miners".

They should ve said "shipped millions dollars of miners with mega bonus of problems"
