LOTR adaptation was decent, it did follow the plot broadly and got the key points correct.
Harry Potter was just a massacre of the storyline. I hate those films with a passion.

Imo harry potter is much more entertaining considering it's our world (not a world with trolls at least, oops!) harry potter also has many details and is based on a high school so it's a sure win.

Harry Potter is more like a movie for kids, LOTR is better a great history, has epic moments, the battles, the magic fights of Gandlalf were 100 times better than the harry potter
